I doubt anyone working at dA will actually read this, but all the same, before you make changes to your website, you really should ask yourself "How does this enhance the user experience?". If you can't answer that, then it's a bad change. Notice I said "a" bad change- that word is very important; because change in and of itself is not inherently bad. But neither is it inherently good... dA has added an extra step to its logins, and it makes zero sense: Instead of putting in your username and password on the same page, you now have to enter your username, go to another page, and THEN input your password. Don't tell me this make it more secure- someone using a keylogger or other method of espionage is easily going to get around something so trivial. Why? Who does this benefit? It doesn't help the users. It doesn't help the website. It doesn't help ANYONE. Quite the contrary, it makes logins a little slower than before for zero added benefit.
